Shack on the Shore

It's super windy on the island today, and no really great surf. A quick listen to 596-SURF made it obvious that Makaha, which is sheilded from the NorthEast Trades by the Waianae mountain range, was the only possible option. Waves were smallish and sporadic, but any day on the board is a good day. The West shore has a lot of homeless folks that camp on the beach, its definately the least glamorous part of the island. That's why I was really suprised to see a new Holiday Inn shoot up since last time.
