Sam 4/27/2008 - 4/30/2008
Sam alias Pecky, Chirpy, Birdy died in his sleep last night he is survived by his adopted family and his inspiring memories. Sam will be remembered for being a bird, and for doing bird things, and the little chirp, ..chirp, chirp thing. During his stay on this terestrial ball Sam inspired us with his courage as he left the nest at such an early age. He was a people person (err-um bird), and was apt to meet new strangers and then demand food from them. At this time no birds were available to comment. Services will be held today by the City and County of Honolulu Refuse Division.

I Gave My Kids the Bird
Ben and Naomi found a flightless baby bird and convinced me we should
keep it. After a while we figured out how to feed it with an oral
syringe. Really social little guy.

Kaimana Swim
Yesterday Nate and I went over and helped the Adams finish up pouring concrete for their new patio. The family has had a nasty flu lately so I could only get out for a little while.
Today I got out of the house for about 3 hours in the morning to do an outdoor swim with Bill Goding and the rest of the Waikiki swim club at Kaimana. We swam the Waikiki rough water course, and then doubled back. It was a casual pace, we took about 90 minutes to do it.

Empty Lots the Video

I just got done editing footage from yesterday's session with Chad and Aaron et al. I'm also watching the kids today while Sue snorkles and then heads out to work.
The four of us will go over to help the Adams with a home project around 2. They are pouring some concrete for a new set of dryer line poles.

House of Mouse
I went surfing with Chad, Aaron and his dad this morning at Empty Lots.
This afternoon we went to Brayden's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's.
We got Anastasia to sit the kids this evening while Sue and I went out for some quality time. We decided on dinner at Naupaka Terrace in the Ko`olina Marriot. There was an awesome raw and fresh seafood bufet, and after dinner we walked the beach.

Endless Summer 2
As part of Aaron's ongoing influence to get me caught up on popular surf culture I watched Endless Summer 2 last night. What a great movie! Even Sue had trouble playing World of Warcraft while the movie played. Bruce Brown rocks!
