Gnomes Party

Well today was Naomi (aka: Gnomes) 's 3rd birthday. The routine with us is to take all the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for birthday events. That way we get at least 3 good migranes a year. This year we didn't find out until we got to the aforementioned pizza and sugar brothel that the mouse was closed for repairs for the day. We salvaged the event by going to the McDonald's in the same shopping center. We enjoyed Irish clown food and the kids got some time in the play place before the rain started.

Hmm, something odd about this picture? Can you spot it? It seems that no one was around to take this picture all at once.

Flying Fish

I finally got around to getting the family community pool passes renewed. We took the kids out before lunch to try our new passes. The kids and I all got wet while Sue stayed dry and got some sun on the deck. Good times! video

Tick Tock

I had a strange dream about my Great-Grandfather Quinn's pocket watch last night. The watch hasn't really worked since the mid 90's but it is still a special family heirloom. In my dream, I was having the watch restored. When it came back from the repair shop the only thing they had kept was the watch hands and the winding nob. Those parts were instead placed on a square battery powered electric wall clock. I was very emotional about it, and no one else (including family) could understand what I was upset about. When I finally woke up, I was very relieved to see that it was unharmed.

Lunch Run

One of the best things about living in Hawaii is that it is so easy to stay active, sometimes you might not even realize that you are doing it. Example, I often enjoy a run over lunch. I work close to the airport. After a difficult morning, I can always just throw on a pair of running shoes and make a quick circuit on Lagoon drive. Watch some planes land, feel the breeze off the ocean and get some bright sun. Coming back to work after a treat like that, I feel like I'm starting the day fresh all over again.
